Wilcox recalled meeting Hill for the first time and described him as \u201cvery nice actually\u201d and \u201ca very clever writer.\u201d She emphasized that her personal interactions with him were respectful and professional, countering many of the narratives that later surrounded Hill\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n
She even recounted a light-hearted moment between them: Hill jokingly commented on her name\u2014\u201cOoh, Paula Will-Cox, eh?\u201d\u2014to which she instantly replied, \u201cPaula Won\u2019t-Cox!\u201d According to her, that small exchange set the tone, and from that moment on, she \u201cnever had any trouble\u2026 he was fine with me.\u201d<\/p>\n
