Wigginโs NFL journey began as a standout defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, where he played 11 seasons from 1957 to 1967, never missing a game during that span. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and helped the Browns win the 1964 NFL Championship โ a testament to his durability and skill on the field.
After retiring as a player, Wiggin seamlessly transitioned into coaching, beginning with the San Francisco 49ers and later taking roles with the Kansas City Chiefs โ including serving as their head coach in the mid-1970s โ and the New Orleans Saints. He also coached college football at Stanford University, his alma mater, where he was head coach from 1980 to 1983.
