The cause of death for the famous director and his wife became official while more information emerged.

The newly released death certificates for director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, revealed they were cremated after being stabbed to death, allegedly by their son Nick Reiner.
The remains were handed over to their other son, Jake Reiner, according to the documents obtained by multiple outlets on Tuesday from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.See More…

The cause of death was officially listed as “multiple sharp point injuries” … “with knife, from another.”
The pair’s younger son, Nick, has been charged with their murder.
The time of death for Rob Reiner, the “All in the Family” sitcom star who later directed such film hits as “When Harry Met Sally,” and Michele Reiner, a producer, were listed respectively as 3:45 and 3:46 p.m. on Dec. 14.
The couple was cremated on Dec. 19, their death certificates show.

Much of the talk after the grisly slaying revolved around a party the couple and Nick Reiner attended the night before at Conan O’Brien’s home. Rob Reiner and his son reportedly argued over his behavior, which included pestering stars such as Bill Hader with odd questions. The younger Reiner was eventually asked to leave.
