Four U.S. Army Reserve soldiers have been killed in action in Kuwait during the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the Pentagon confirmed in an official announcement today.See More…

All four served with the 103rd Sustainment Command based in Des Moines, Iowa and were supporting Operation Epic Fury when their unit was struck by an Iranian drone attack at a command post in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait on March 1, 2026. 
The Department of Defense has identified the fallen service members as:
• Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
• Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
• Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
• Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa 🪖 
Officials say these deaths are among the first American military fatalities of the Iran-related conflict and mark a solemn moment as the U.S. and its allies continue operations in the region. 
Family members, military leaders, and community officials across the United States have offered prayers and tributes to honor their bravery and sacrifice. 
President Trump and top Pentagon officials also issued statements expressing deep sorrow and respect for the fallen soldiers and reaffirmed support for their families.
