Timmy Everett, born Thomas Arthur Everett on February 14, 1938, in Helena, Montana, was a gifted performer whose career spanned theatre, television, and film. From a very young age, he showed remarkable ability as an actor and dancer, attending prestigious acting schools and making his first professional appearance at just 14 years old.
Everett achieved significant early success on Broadway, winning awards for his performances in The Dark at the Top of the Stairs and The Cold Wind and the Warm. His stage work demonstrated not only technical skill but an emotional depth that earned him the admiration of both critics and audiences.
On screen, he is best remembered for his role as Tommy Djilas in the classic 1962 musical The Music Man, where his dancing and acting talent shone alongside an ensemble cast. His television work also included appearances in popular series of the time such as Decoy, General Electric Theater, Naked City, Outlaws, and Ben Casey.
Tragically, Timmy Everett died in his sleep of an apparent heart attack on March 4, 1977, in New York City at just 39 years old — a loss that cut short a brilliant artistic life. Though his time in the spotlight was brief, his contributions to theatre and film continue to be remembered by fans and historians alike.
