Born in Colleyville in 1960, Joni dedicated most of her life to faith-based broadcasting. Together with her late husband, Marcus Lamb, she helped build Daystar into one of the largest Christian television networks in the world, reaching millions of viewers across many countries.
After Marcus Lamb’s death in 2021, Joni stepped forward as president of the network and continued leading the ministry through difficult times. She remained active on television, especially through programs like Joni Table Talk and Ministry Now, where she spoke openly about faith, family, and personal struggles.
Many fans remembered her as a strong and passionate speaker who spent decades sharing inspirational messages. Others also reflected on the controversies surrounding Daystar in recent years, which kept the family and ministry in public discussion. Even so, her influence on Christian television remained significant for more than four decades.
Joni is survived by her husband Doug Weiss, her three children, and several grandchildren. Tributes from supporters and fellow religious broadcasters have continued pouring in, remembering her dedication, leadership, and impact on Christian media around the world.
