However, DiCaprio has continued to wear the mask even after the pandemic, making it a habit to preserve his anonymity and peace of mind. The immense fame he gained from the movie “Titanic” forced him to find ways to protect his private life, as constant public exposure without purpose could be exhausting and affect his personal life.
Nevertheless, when there are important public events, such as movie premieres or interviews, DiCaprio removes the mask. Therefore, the mask is not meant to hide his face during work, but to maintain control over his public exposure and to make his appearances more meaningful and rare.
